Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro

Sunsets in Copacabana are beautiful as the Sun sets behind the silhouetted mountains of Rio de Janeiro.

One great thing that Brazil has are beautiful beaches. Along the southern tip of Brazil lies an island called Florianópolis which is a popular vacation spot for Brazilians, Argentines, Uruguayans, and me. One spot we visited was Praia Lagoinha do Norte which had huge beautiful rocks on the ocean shore.

A storm was rolling over Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro. Fortunately most people weren't on the beach due to the storm allowing me to get a shot of a mostly deserted beach.

The Tijuca Forest is claimed to be the world's largest urban forest. The Tijuca Forest is a man-made reclamation of land around Rio de Janeiro that had previously been cleared and developed to grow sugar and coffee.
