Devil's Millhopper Geological State Park contains a bowl-shaped cavity 120 feet deep leading down to a miniature rain forest.

I followed Hurricane Hermine up the Florida coast and was able to get ahead of a feeder band in this little inlet for this picture. Feeder bands of hurricanes can be really beautiful if you time them just right.

I found Grand Lagoon while chasing the storm in the picture. It ended up providing a beautiful foreground for the storm that was quickly growing in size.

About halfway between Jacksonville and Tallahassee lies the confluence of the Suwannee River and the Withlacoochee River. All surrounding the area are beautiful cypress trees, live oak trees, and the lack of human noise.

I found out the hard way that snakes love to slither in this area. I almost stepped on brown watersnake before he slithered away on top of the water thinking it was a twig while setting up for this picture.
